Menamy (“Tusnami” Mitanes) is one of few martial artists in the world who would be qualified to teach at this Academy. He is a BJJ & Judo black belt, trained by Rickson Gracie for many years at his prime. Now he is pound for pound, one of the best black belts under Rigan Machado. He trained with Martin Wheeler for many years in Systema and now a master instructor under him at the Academy. He is fully certified by the Systema HQ and heads Systema Los Angeles and conduct international seminars as well.

He has trained in numerous martial arts of the world throughout his life, from Japanese, Chinese, Brazilian, Filipino, Russian and others. His past experience also includes extensive JKD training with having trained with Dan Inosanto, Paul Vunak and Pat Strong. His focus now is to teach what it is to be truly free through martial arts whether it is a world with rules like BJJ or with no rules like Systema.
